Peacocking

Peacocking is another word for "castle building". A pre-session thought about what the target is begins to spread out its plumage, and pretty soon, you are so caught up in the feeling that you are really "on-target" that you fail to see anything which would contradict that belief. As a result, you start filtering what information you will accept and start throwing away any perceptions which would contradict that belief.
