Warriors, ready for battle

A new trend in sports has come onto the scene. It's called, "Paf ball". You will see more of it in the near future. The balls and the game will be on tour in Estonia this summer and they will pop up on events in other countries too.

Paf ball is simply a game of soccer, but with the small difference that the players must wear large balloons.

Why? Well, why not? It's a fun game, and you have to admit - that's funny.

This form of soccer is not for the claustrophobic. You must climb only part way into the ball. Your head cannot stick out the top, you lose the use of your arms and hands, and you can only see the world around you (and the ball) through wrinkled plastic, which remains up against your head and face throughout the game. When you fall, you only have the use of your legs to get upright again. That is why I listed this target as having possible emotional content.

But, once you get used to the playing conditions, Paf Bass is loads of fun, both to play, and especially to watch, as the video clip below shows:

And when the game is over, what do the players do? Well, the just continue playing, but now, who needs the ball?
